Zack Snyder says Netflix wants more REBEL MOON movies but wants to return to ARMY OF THE DEAD

Apparently, Netflix likes it Zack Snyder’S Rebel moon movie so much that they want the director to continue producing movies set in that universe.

However, Snyder is ready to return to his Army of the Dead franchise and make another one of those films. He tried to make it, but Netflix is more interested in Rebel Moon right now.

During an interview with Looper, Snyder explained: “I keep telling Netflix that we need to move forward and do something more [‘Army of the Dead’] and they continue to encourage me to make more ‘Rebel Moon’ films.”

He continued: “But I feel like this ‘Army’ universe is really really rich and fun, and zombies never go out of style, so it seems like a no-brainer to me.”

It’s really funny to me because most audiences and critics don’t like the Rebel Moon movies. The first has a score of 21% on Rotten Tomatoes and the sequel only has a score of 15%.

But people are watching the films as Snyder previously shared that the first film has nearly 90 million views with around “160 million people supposedly watching it.” There is no information on the numbers of the sequel.

All I know is that the scripts for these Rebel Moon films are terrible and if more of them were made, Snyder should seriously consider getting help from talented writers who can help him create a decent script.

Snyder had previously spoken about a third film they were developing, saying, “We’ve definitely been working on part three, story-wise. We definitely know where we’re all headed — we’ve known for long enough.” a little bit, actually, so yeah, I’m excited to make more Rebel Moon movies, that would be fun…”

We’ll just have to wait and see when he actually pulls it off.

In the first film, “After a crash landing on a moon in the far reaches of the universe, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a stranger with a mysterious past, begins a new life in a peaceful peasant settlement.

“But he soon becomes their only hope for survival when the tyrannical regent Balisarius (Brother Fee) and his cruel emissary, Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein), discover that the farmers have unwittingly sold their crops to the Bloodaxes (Cleopatra Colemann AND Ray Fisher) — leader of a ferocious group of rebels hunted by the Motherworld.

“The task of finding fighters who would risk their lives to defend the people of Veldt, Kora and Gunnar (Michiel Huisman), a tender farmer naive to the reality of war, travels to different worlds in search of the Bloodaxes and brings together a small band of warriors who share a common need for redemption along the way: Kai (Charlie Hunnam), a pilot and a hired gun; General Tito (Djimon Hounsou), a legendary commander; Nemesis (Bae Doona), a master swordsman; Tarak (Staz Nair), a prisoner with a royal past; and Milius (E. Duffy), a resistance fighter. Returning to Veldt, Jimmy (voiced by Anthony Hopkins), an ancient mechanized protector hidden behind the scenes, awakens with a new purpose.

“But the newly formed revolutionaries must learn to trust each other and fight in unison before the armies of Mother Earth come to destroy them all.”

The Scargiver” continues the epic saga of Kora “and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting with the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, home to those who lost their own in the fight against the Mother Earth.”

On the eve of battle the warriors must face the truths of their past, each of which will reveal why they fight. As the full force of the Kingdom bears down on the growing rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, great heroes emerge and legends are born…”
