When it was announced Jeremy Renner had joined the cast of Ryan Johnsonis Whodunnit’s next murder mystery film Wake Up Dead Man: A Mystery at Knives OutI completely forgot about the actor’s connection to the last film, Glass Onion.
In Glass Onionwe learn that actor Jeremy Renner has his own brand of hot sauce in the Knives out universe. That hot sauce played a big role in the movie.
Given that Renner has already been introduced to the universe as the owner of a hot sauce brand, it makes sense that the actor will play himself in Wake up, dead man.
We won’t know for sure until more details about the film are released, but it would be great if Renner ends up playing himself and is involved in the next Benoit Blanc detective mystery.
Nothing is known yet about the plot, including the cast Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Glenn Close, Andrea Scottand the latest addition Daryl McCormack.
Rian Johnson teased the next film, saying, “I love everything about crime fiction, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and being able to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making films with Benoit Blanc.”
The film is about to enter production.
