Kevin Costner reveals the third part of his western film series: HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SAGA has begun production

Kevin Costner is co-writer, director and star of the next series of Western films Horizon: An American Sagawhich will be released in theaters next month.

The first film will be released on June 28, and the second film, shot at the same time, will hit theaters less than two months later on August 16.

While the third film in the four-film arc doesn’t yet have a release date, it takes a step forward this week, as Costner announced that the film has officially entered production.

Costner shared photos from the set of the film in which he and his cast members are seen riding horses against the backdrop of a desert and a body of water. He said in the post:

“Back on the ground working [Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 3]. Hard to believe Part 1 will be in theaters in less than a month. I hope you will go and see what we have prepared for you.”

Horizon: An American Saga chronicles “a multifaceted 15-year arc of expansion and settlement of the American West before and after the Civil War.
