Here’s a trailer for the next one David Duchovny movie Reverse the cursewhich Duchovny wrote, directed and starred in. The film is also based on Duchovny’s book Bucky fucking Dent.
Reverse the curse follows Ted (Logan Marshall-Green), “a failed writer turned Yankees Stadium peanut pitcher who returns home after learning of the failing health of his Red Sox-obsessed father, Marty (Duchovny).
“As Marty strives to make amends for his past, his health suddenly collapses every time his beloved Sox lose a game. To keep his dad’s spirits up, Ted takes matters into his own hands and creates a winning streak with the help of a group of Dad’s neighborhood friends.
“Meanwhile, Ted forms a bond with Marty’s charming ‘Death Specialist’, Marianna (Stefania Beatrice), and the prospect of a new love rekindles his ambitions.”
The film is described as a “hymn to the bond between father and son, this warm and witty film demonstrates how life truly belongs to the underdogs and that the underdogs are the ones worth betting on.”
The film is a deadpan style comedy that tells a strong, heartfelt and enjoyable story. It will be released in theaters and on-demand on June 14.
