Mahershala Ali (Green Book, Moonlight) is in talks to join Universal Pictures’ next chapter Jurassic world franchise, where it comes from Rogue One director Gareth Edwards.
Ali joins a growing cast that also includes Scarlett Johansson, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Lincoln Lawyer), Jonathan Bailey (Evil), AND Friend Rupert (City of asteroids).
There is no information regarding the story of the film or the characters that the actors will play, but the film will be set in a modern world where dinosaurs walk the Earth and the story will definitely involve people trying to survive.
Edwards will direct from a script written by the original Jurassic Park writer David Koeppwith Steven Spielberg, Frank MarshallAND Patrick Crowley to produce.
Ali is best known for his Oscar-winning performances in Green book AND Moonlightand comes from Sam Esmail’s thriller Leave the world behind. Subsequently he will also play Blade in the next Marvel film project.
