A Nightmare on Elm Street star of the franchise Heather Langenkamp she still hopes that one day she will have the opportunity to reprise her role as Nancy Thompson once again in a Legacy sequel.
This is something she’s been very vocal about in the past, and once again she makes it clear that she’s ready to face Freddy again.
During a recent Q&A he said: “In my imagination, I have several legacy sequels happening at the same time. He’s a fantastic character. How could you say no?”
Langenkamp added: “I just need someone to get the project off the ground. Especially considering Nightmare on Elm Street part 7, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. I think there are still many great opportunities for new and excellent battles to come.
The actress previously addressed the issue, saying: “If Nancy could fight Freddy one last time, I would really like it. Man, I’d love to see a future in this. I really watched the Halloween saga that came out, and I love seeing Jamie Lee Curtis play that part.
“You know, this era, where I think we have so much to give to those storylines, but yeah, I wish I had control of that, but, unfortunately, it’s one of those very complicated things about Hollywood.”
I would love to see Langenkamp return as Nancy and face Freddy again! There could be a really fun movie there with Nancy fighting Freddy again.
There are some directors out there who have expressed interest in tackling something new A Nightmare on Elm Street movies like Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep) AND Rob Selvaggio (The boogeyman).
I’m sure we’ll see another Elm Street movie made one day, but we’ll just have to wait and see who directs it and what that story will entail.
