Marvel recently revealed the official title of Agatha WandaVision the spin-off series is Agata always. I’ve heard great things about how this series ended, and now the cast continues to tease what fans can expect.
Patti Lu Pone confirmed that the series will take us on the Witch Road, and also says that the production value of the series is something you’d see in a “100 million dollar movie.”
Kathryn Hahn, Joe Lockeand LuPone recently appeared at the Walt Disney Company’s Upfront presentation to talk about the show.
Hahn shared, “The thing about this show that I thought was so thrilling [is] That Jac Schaeffer, who wrote it and also wrote WandaVision… it was very important to her and Mary Livanos, our producer, that there be minimal CGI. So there is very little that is not practical magic or simply our magic.”
“It was something really exciting to organize and we were able to prove again and again that we could do it,” the actress continued. “So it’s minimal CGI, but it was very thrilling. [The] the sets are amazing…it just looked delicious. It was a very engaging experience.”
LuPone then chimed in to reveal it Agata always will include Witches’ Road, which confirms the claims of several scoopers over the past year.
LuPone said, “I can say at this point, the set, the set, and the props, and the lighting, the costumes, everything about it, it seemed to all of us when we saw it when we got to the set that everyone was creatively at the top of their game. I was telling someone about Witches’ Road.
“What an absolute beauty… we burst into tears when we walked onto the set and saw the real Witches’ Road. It’s gorgeous to look at as well as being a fantastic story. It feels like a 100 million dollar movie.”
In the comics, the Witches’ Road is a plane of existence where only sorcerers can walk. It’s speculated that the story will involve Agatha and Billy going there in search of the Scarlet Witch following her disappearance (and apparent death) at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Agata always is described as a “dark comedy” in the MCU. The last time we saw Agatha, she attempted to take Wanda Maximoff’s magic for herself, and Wanda trapped her in the “Agnes” persona.
The description for the first episode of the show reads: “In the first episode we see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally manages to free herself from the spell she was trapped in.
“He can’t wait to go back to his old murderous ways only to find that he’s helpless. The only way out for her is to embark on a dangerous quest to regain her powers with the help of an unlikely friend or two.”
The series is also the protagonist Aubrey Square like Rio Vidal, and Sasheer Zamata plays Jennifer Kale, while Ali Ahn she plays a character named Alice.
Other cast members returning from WandaVision to include David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, AND Kate Forbes. They merge Deborah Jo Rupp AND Emma Caufield who are also returning cast members.
Agata always will debut on Disney+ on September 18th.
