Universal Pictures is developing a film about Leonardo da Vinci which is a top priority for them, and they have moved forward All of us strangers director Andrew Haigh to guide the project.

The film will be an adaptation of Walter Isaacson’s acclaimed biography Leonardo da Vinciwhich was written using thousands of pages from Leonardo da Vinci’s notebooks and new discoveries about his life and work.

In the book, Isaacson “weaves a narrative that connects his art to his science. It shows how Leonardo’s genius was based on skills that we can improve in ourselves, such as passionate curiosity, careful observation, and an imagination so playful that it flirts with fantasy.

“He produced the two most famous paintings in history, Last dinner and the Mona Lisa. But in his mind he was just as much a man of science and technology.

“With a passion that at times became obsessive, he pursued innovative studies of anatomy, fossils, birds, the heart, flying machines, botany, geology and weapons.

“His ability to stand at the crossroads of the humanities and the sciences, made iconic by his drawing of the Vitruvian Man, made him the most creative genius in history.”

Leonardo da Vinci lived from 1452 to 1519 during the height of the Renaissance, which was one of the most creative outbursts in human history. It will be really cool and interesting to see it come to life as a big budget film.
