Kevin Costner says he’s open to reuniting with Taylor Sheridan on a YELLOWSTONE-related project or something else

The flagship series Yellowstone has seen so much success, from its huge fan base to its multiple spinoff series, and viewers are hungry for more. The show’s fifth season is expected to be its last, with alleged scheduling conflicts featuring Kevin Costner leaving the show.

Right now, Yellowstone plans to air final episodes in November before launching a new spin-off series without Costner, 2024in December.

But Costner, who plays patriarch John Dutton on the show, says the final episodes haven’t yet been put together.

Talking with Entertainment weekly on his latest film, Horizon: an American saga, Costner said he is not yet in contact with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan on the making of those final episodes.

“No, we didn’t [talked]”Costner said. However, he added that he is open to working with Sheridan in the future, whatever that may be Yellowstone-related or something new.

He continued: “He’s doing special work in many different ways. He’s very prolific in the things he does and if he sees me in something he wants to do, I’ll watch it just like I did Yellowstone and maybe we’ll end up doing something together.

“He likes a lot of the things I like, and the idea of ​​working together isn’t out of the question for me. The subjects he chooses are very interesting to me. I like that stuff a lot. Yellowstone represents something that could continue. But that’s Taylor’s question. But the other things that he’s doing I think are really, really good. He likes the same topics I like.

The news from Costner’s side of the aisle has been very inconsistent. It seemed like he was distancing himself from the series, and now it seems like he’s holding on. Who knows, but hopefully the series will be able to wrap each plot in a way that does justice to the characters viewers have grown to love.
