Pauly Shore Says He ‘Will Be The Star Of Richard Simmons Biopic Whether He Likes It Or Not’ ‘It’s Just Another Fucking Bump In My Fucking Road’

It was a back and forth battle between the actors Pauly Shore and ’80s fitness guru Richard Simmonswho Shore would desperately like to play in a biopic, but it appears the project is moving forward, with or without Simmons’ support.

The idea came about when it was announced that Shore would star in the Sundance Film Festival short “The Court Jester,” which featured him playing an uncanny resemblance of Simmons. Shore said he hoped this would lead to a full biopic in which he could honor Simmons.

Simmons responded in a Facebook post, in which he said: “You may have heard they might make a movie about me with Pauly Shore. I never gave my permission for this film. So don’t believe everything you read.

Shore then released a statement claiming that his film would be about love and honoring Simmons, but Simmons was still reluctant to commit, so he posted on X, “I just read that a man I don’t know is writing my biopic with Pauly Shore. I don’t approve of this movie. I am in talks with major movie studios to create my own biopic with some help. Wait for this movie.

Afterward, Shore said he was “up all night crying” in a lengthy Instagram caption on the topic. “Richard, you didn’t even hear the tone. Why don’t you just let me come to your house, bring you some hot matzo ball soup and a pastrami sandwich with Canters dark mustard, massage your feet, and then we can listen to the writer, Jordan Allen-Dutton, pitch our idea to you ?”

Shore also stated that he hopes the Simmons biopic will also be made and offered support and hope that many more films will be made about him. But at this point, in addition to giving Simmons the opportunity to be involved and assuring him that the film will honor him, the studio is ready to move forward with or without him.

The Wolper Organization, a subsidiary of Warner Bros., previously said in a statement: “Although we would love to have it [Simmons] involved, we respect his desire for privacy and plan to produce a film that honors him, celebrates him and tells a dramatic story.

We know he is deeply private and we would never want to invade him, however he is an extraordinary person who has changed the lives of millions of people and the effect he has had on the world must be recognised.

It really seems like Simmons should just listen to the talk and support a project that seems so eager to do its story justice. Shore is very much like Simmons and seems to have a sincere love for him. I hope he can just enjoy the process and the movie when it comes out.
