Morgan Freeman does a hilarious parody of Nicole Kidman’s AMC Theaters commercial

In the parody video, Freeman sits down to watch numerous films that feature Kidman on screen while basking in her glory.

Freeman says, “It takes us where we’ve never been before. Not only does it entertain us, but it’s somehow reborn. Somehow, it makes the heartbreak in a place like this feel good.”

The video was presented during a ceremony where Kidman was honored by the American Film Institute. It was during this AFI Life Achievement celebration, that Freeman called Moulin Rouge his favorite Kidman role, while singing a few notes of Elton John’s “Your Song.”

Freeman previously received the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2011. Other recent winners include Steve Martin, Julie Andrews, George ClooneyAND Mel Brooks.

Speaking about her decision to be a part of these AMC Theaters commercials, Kidman said, “It was just a desire to keep movie theaters alive. I’ve had the best experiences in movies.”

He added: “I would pretend I was going to school; I would forge a ticket and go sit in a cinema. This is a safe haven for me, so the idea that those don’t exist—that’s not part of the equation in my life.”

The Oscar winner said she didn’t mind the parodies and mockery that came with the viral campaign, saying, “If that’s what it takes, I’ll do whatever it takes. We need to have some more ideas for the next one.” .”
