The first season of Apple TV+’s sci-fi mystery series Silo it was a spectacular series. The creative team behind the show’s development did a fantastic job bringing that story to life, and it looks like season 2 will be even better!
Rebecca Ferguson he recently revealed it Silo The filming of the second season had completed and the author of the Silo series of novels, entitled the “Wool” series, Hugh Howeysaw it and shared his thoughts on it, which are sure to excite fans.
He said on social media: “I’ve seen season 2 and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen.” That’s some epic hype right there and I couldn’t be more excited to watch it!
The series is based on Howey’s trilogy of dystopian novels and tells the story of “the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly outside world. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built, and anyone who tries to find out faces fatal consequences.”
After the sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and the residents mysteriously die, engineer Juliette, played by Rebecca Ferguson,” searches for answers about the murder of a loved one and stumbles upon a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if lies don’t kill you, the truth will. She begins to uncover shocking secrets and the truth about the silo.
Ferguson spoke about the future of the series, saying, “I believe the show has an end, and I know when that will be. So, that’s the answer. You’ll find out when the show is over.”
He added: “To be honest, I don’t think it’s a secret. Books are books. There are three books and the three books are divided into four seasons. So, I think, unless someone at Apple jumps in, I think we’re definitely in agreement that season one is over. Season 2 has been filmed and is about to come out, and now we’re looking at greenlighting seasons 3 and 4. And I think we’ll film them maybe together, and that would be the end of it.
When previously we talked about the second season, Matt Chernisshead of programming for Apple TV+, said in a statement: “It has been enormously satisfying to see the compelling, evocative and splendid realization of the sci-fi epic.” Silo quickly become Apple’s number one drama series.
He added: “As audiences around the world are fascinated by the mysteries and conspiracies buried in this fascinating underground world, viewership numbers continue to rise, and we are so excited for more of the silo’s secrets to be revealed in season two.”
The series was created and written by Graham Yost (Band of brothers, justified), and shared, “We can’t wait for audiences around the world to immerse themselves in the epic world we’ve created to bring Hugh Howey’s novels to life.”
He continued: “Apple has believed in our vision since day one and it is an honor to have the opportunity to dig deeper into this story and peel back the layers from our characters in the Silo.”
Ferguson is joined in the series by an exceptional cast that includes Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones AND Tim Robbins.
