Looks like Netflix is on its way out The witcher Business. It was recently announced that the main series will end with season 5, and now What’s on Netflix reports that the streaming service has decided not to move forward with its two Witcher spin-off projects.
Those projects are The rats and an untitled children’s series. The Rats are a notorious group of young Nilfgaardian misfit criminals who targeted the rich and wealthy. The Rats are present in Ciri’s storyline as she joins them for a period of time.
The show would have revolved around “six teenage thieves [who] They must rely on their criminal skills as they plan the biggest heist of their careers against the kingdom’s most dangerous criminal group.”
As for the untitled children’s series, nothing has been revealed about it, so we don’t know what we missed with that one.
So, the final spin-off that comes out will be the animated film, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deephero Doug Cockle as Geralt.
In the story, “Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter, is hired to investigate a series of attacks on a coastal village and finds himself embroiled in an age-old conflict between humans and merfolk.
“He must rely on friends, old and new, to solve the mystery before hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into all-out war.”
So, it seems like Netflix enjoyed their run with The Witcher franchise, but they’re ready to scrap it and walk away from it once the show comes to an end.
