Not long after learning this Russell Crowe is the star of a new demonic horror film titled The exorcismThe first trailer has been released, teasing the terrifying nightmare that awaits.
This film comes from the creator of He shouted franchising, Kevin Williamson, which he produces, and it seems like a great idea for a horror film. It is inspired by film productions that are said to be cursed.
The exorcism follows Anthony Miller (Crowe), “a troubled actor who begins to unravel while filming a supernatural horror film.”
It is explained that “His daughter with whom he had estranged (Ryan Simpkins) wonders if he’s falling back into his past addictions or if there’s something more sinister at play.”
The film comes from the director Joshua John Miller from a script he wrote with MA Fortino. They are the creators of the hit series Queen of the South.
Additional cast includes Sam Worthington (Avatar: The Way of Water), Chloe Bailey (Praise this), Adam Goldberg (The equalizer) AND David Hyde Pierce (Frasier).
The filmmakers said in a statement: “Vertical has been a great partner in helping us complete and realize our vision for this story. Their level of enthusiasm and support is rare to find.”
The Exorcism will be released in select US theaters on June 7, before streaming exclusively on Shudder.
