Noah Hawley’s ALIEN series is set a few years before PROMETHEUS; Sandra Yi Sencindiver joins the cast

Some new details have emerged Noah Hawleyit is imminent Alien series, including its place in the franchise’s timeline, and it also has a new cast member.

It has been revealed that the series is set in the late 21st century, a few years before the events of the 2012 film Prometheus and 30 years before Ridley Scott’s original 1979 film.

This is the first project in the series that will take place on Earth and will deal with the emergence of the infamous Weyland-Yutani Corporation and the race between corporations to create new android life.

Foundation actress Sandra Yi Sencindiver he also joined the cast as a senior member of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. He joins the previous cast Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Timothy Olyphantand more.

The series will blend “the timeless horror of the first Alien film with the non-stop action of the second, it will be a frightening thrill ride that will make people fall back on their seats.”

Hawley previously spoke about the project, saying: “It’s about how we’re caught between the primordial past and the artificial intelligence of our future, where both [are] trying to kill us.”

He added: “It’s set on future Earth. Right now I describe it as Edison versus Westinghouse versus Tesla. Someone will monopolize the electricity. We just don’t know which one it is.”

He continued, “It’s a story also set on Earth. Alien stories are always trapped… Trapped in a prison, trapped in a spaceship. I thought it would be interesting to open it up a little bit so that the stakes were “What happens if you can’t contain it?” they are more immediate.”

Speaking about handling the story, Hawley explained that he’s taking a “quality, not quantity” approach, saying, “Obviously, they trust me after all these years, and the writing was on the page for the first year.”

He continued: “So when you’re successful, you tell the story and you tell the story until the story is over. At FX they’re very good at this, they don’t want you milking something that looks finished.”

I’m excited and curious about this Alien series and the story Hawley will tell. He is a talented storyteller and I have no doubt that he will make a fantastic series.
