A leak about McDonald’s tie-in toys for Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World reveals some new details about the film, including the appearance of a supposed character.
We’ve talked about this character in the past, but since this might actually be a confirmation, I’m treating it as a spoiler just in case. So, proceed with caution.
In addition to giving us a cartoonish look at what Captain America’s new costume will look like, along with costumes for a few other characters, the collection also includes a Red Hulk figure!
So, it seems Harrison FordPresident Thunderbolt Ross will appear in the film as Red Hulk, just like in the pages of Marvel comics. This is something we all expected and it will be really cool to see how it looks in the movie!
The other figures include the new Falcon costume for Torres, a character that appears to be Diamondback (listed as Cascavel, or “rattlesnake” in Portuguese), Ruth, who is potentially Sabra, and the new Captain America costume, which appears similar to the one seen in the finale of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The first footage from this film was recently screened at CinemaCon, and we were there to watch it! You can watch our video reaction here, but the footage showed President Ross tasking Sam Wilson with rebuilding the Avengers.
This trade came with some tension over who would make decisions for the team: Sam Wilson or President Ross? Then all hell breaks loose when there is an attempt on Ross’ life.
Kevin Feige previously talked about the dynamic between the characters Wilson and Ross, saying, “There’s a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson. They have a history together, but in this film we will see the dynamic between Captain America and the president of the United States in a way that is simply incredible.
In the movie, Anthony Mackie he returned to the role of Sam Wilson, who is now Captain America. The film is also the protagonist Liv Tyler, Shira Haas, Tim Blake Nelson, Rosa Salazar, Danny RamirezAND Carl Lumbly.
Giulio Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) will direct the film from a screenplay written by Dalan Musson AND Malcolm Spellmanboth of whom they wrote for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spellman will produce with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
Captain America: Brave New World arrives February 14, 2025.
