Zack Snyder teases plans for REBEL MOON 3 and talks about his 6-hour Director’s Cut

As a director Zack Snyder is promoting his next Netflix film Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, offers an update on the director’s cuts planned for the first two films, revealing that they will be six hours long. Oh yes, he has a third film planned too!

Speaking to Forbes, the director confirmed that each of the two Rebel Moon films will be three hours long. It’s six hours of Rebel Moon! Of course, you don’t have to do it all at once! The two films include Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire AND Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver.

Snyder spoke about it, saying, “Yes, the director’s cuts are three hours each, so if you were to watch the director’s cuts back-to-back, it’ll be six hours, but I think it’ll be fun and definitely worth it.” It.”

He went on to explain: “The exciting thing is that on April 19th you’ll be able to watch parts one and two together if you feel like it. I cut the films in half. I wrote it as one story and then broke it in half.”

He added: “You can’t underestimate that immersive feeling that you would get throughout the two films. With the director’s cuts, it will only be more intense because of the additional scenes and the kind of coloring in the corners of the world in the way that we are able to do it, frankly, with more scenes and more time.”

As for when the extended cuts will be available to watch on Netflix, the director said, “We don’t have a firm date but probably in August, I would say.”

He goes on to talk about the third film they’re developing, saying, “We’ve definitely been working on the third part, story-wise. We definitely know where we’re all headed, we’ve known for quite a while, to be honest, so yeah, I’m excited to make more Rebel Moon movies – it would be fun…”

I’m curious to see how long Netflix will let Snyder play in the Rebel Moon universe he created. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how many people show up to see the sequel and the director’s cuts. Snyder obviously wants to continue!

While the first film wasn’t very good, Snyder has a strong fan base that will continue to show up and support his work.

In the first film, “After a crash landing on a moon in the far reaches of the universe, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a stranger with a mysterious past, begins a new life in a peaceful peasant settlement.

“But he soon becomes their only hope for survival when the tyrannical regent Balisarius (Brother Fee) and his cruel emissary, Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein), discover that the farmers have unwittingly sold their crops to the Bloodaxes (Cleopatra Colemann AND Ray Fisher) — leader of a ferocious group of rebels hunted by the Motherworld.

“The task of finding fighters who would risk their lives to defend the people of Veldt, Kora and Gunnar (Michiel Huisman), a tender farmer naive to the reality of war, travels to different worlds in search of the Bloodaxes and brings together a small band of warriors who share a common need for redemption along the way: Kai (Charlie Hunnam), a pilot and a hired gun; General Tito (Djimon Hounsou), a legendary commander; Nemesis (Bae Doona), a master swordsman; Tarak (Staz Nair), a prisoner with a royal past; and Milius (E. Duffy), a resistance fighter. Returning to Veldt, Jimmy (voiced by Anthony Hopkins), an ancient mechanized protector hidden behind the scenes, awakens with a new purpose.

“But the newly formed revolutionaries must learn to trust each other and fight in unison before the armies of Mother Earth come to destroy them all.”

The Scargiver” continues the epic saga of Kora “and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting with the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, home to those who lost their own in the fight against the Mother Earth.”

On the eve of battle the warriors must face the truths of their past, each of which will reveal why they fight. As the full force of the Kingdom bears down on the growing rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, great heroes emerge and legends are born…”
