The producer of THE BLOB remake teases the next horror film

Warner Bros. is currently developing a new reboot of the classic horror film The blob. The film was written and directed by Hellraiser AND The House of Night director David Bruckner.

The film will be produced by David Goyer AND Keith Levine of Phantom Four, and in a recent interview with CB, Levine, who recently produced The first omentalked about working on the film.

He said, “Well, personally I’m very excited about it, because another one of these ‘my parents are out’ movies that I watch when I was younger is The blob – which we are doing at Warner Brothers, also with David Bruckner… Chuck Russell’s film, as a child, drove me crazy big time.

Yes, the 1988 version of The blob from Russell it was crazy! I remember watching that movie myself as a kid and it was such an amazing movie! I loved it!

Levine went on to explain, “There’s this movie theater scene towards the end where these kids sneak out and go to the movies and then they get killed by the blob… I think that was the first time I saw kids.” my age dies.

The first time I remember seeing kids my age die in a movie was in Stephen King’s Maximum overdrive with the can and the steamroller. This has haunted me for years.

The producer added: “I was watching all these horror films. It was always about teenagers and older people, and I think I thought, “I’ve never felt like myself,” but that movie, just because of that scene, really, really, really terrified me. I’m so excited to dive into that world and honor the practical effects, the tactile sensation. We’re just excited about all the possibilities.”

The story for The blob begins when a meteorite crashes into Earth, carrying a gelatinous, amorphous mass that quickly engulfs and devours everything it touches. As the Blob grows in size and threat, the city’s inhabitants must band together to face this alien menace and find a way to stop its relentless rampage.
