Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire) will be the protagonist of the new horror thriller entitled Oswald down the rabbit hole. I assume this is inspired by Walt Disney’s Oswald the rabbit character who is in the public domain.
Hudson will take on the role of Oswald Jebediah Coleman in the film, “a brilliant animator who is locked in a magical and chilling prison.”
The synopsis reads: “After being trapped there for over 100 years, Oswald’s cartoon rabbit who comes to life is menacing, creepy and bloodthirsty.”
The film follows the main character named Art, played by Topher Hall. “Art is the nephew of Hudson’s character, Oswald. When Art and his brother Evan, played by Yasha Rayzbergwho studied for two years at the Ruskin School of Acting and worked with Sam Henry Kass, writer of Seinfeld AND Arlissembarks on a journey to trace his family’s lineage, it quickly turns into a chilling nightmare.
They end up “transported to a place lost in time, shrouded in the dark magic of Hollywood.”
So, it looks like a fun and interesting fantasy horror movie! Hudson said in a statement: “I am thrilled to be working with everyone on this production. It’s an incredibly creative and intelligent project.”
The film will be directed by Lilton Stewart III, who said: “I had a very specific vision for the character of Oswald and knew I wanted Ernie for this role from the beginning, as I have always admired the iconic cinematic legacy. Ernie will bring Oswald’s unique and vengeful spirit to life in the best way possible.”
Production on the film will begin in the spring with a budget of approximately $4.5 million.
