Harvey Weinstein Considers Legal Action On His Terrible Self-Published Tell Everything Book

In anticipation of a sexual assault trial in Los Angeles, Harvey Weinstein has become a gruesome literary sensation today. A self-published volume about a jailed producer is up for sale on Amazon, and Weinstein’s team is considering legal action.

by name Harvey Weinstein: My story! Memoirs was released independently in various formats on May 10. The book was available for purchase on Amazon until Friday afternoon before the listing was abruptly removed.

While the book was likely written by Weinstein, News Week reported Friday that the book was written by two of his inmates. It was compiled by Dennis Sobin, director of the Prison Foundation, a nonprofit that publishes the work of convicts.

The work published by the Prisons Foundation has nothing to do with Harvey Weinstein. The assumption that this nonsense is “autobiographical” is clearly false and fraudulent. “We are currently considering taking legal action,” said Weinstein’s attorney, Alan Jackson.

The book was later removed by Amazon. “All publishers are required to comply with our content guidelines and terms of service,” the company said in a statement. “This book is no longer for sale and we have taken appropriate action against the publisher.”

The 203-page book is a survey of Weinstein’s failed career in 2017.
