It’s monster/kaiju season right now and everyone is trying to profit from their Godzilla properties. Apple TV+ has taken its hit series Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters and renewed it for a second season.
I’m not at all sad about this revelation, the first season was fantastic. I’m excited to see what they do with this multigenerational story. Here’s what Apple had to say about the show:
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has left an indelible imprint on the hearts, minds and imaginations of audiences around the world,” said Morgan Wandell, head of international development, Apple TV+. “We couldn’t be more excited that viewers not only have the chance to experience even more thrills in Season 2, but to embark on epic new journeys in the franchise as we expand Legendary’s Monsterverse.
Now, as if that wasn’t enough. Apple was also able to secure a multi-series deal including spin-offs with Legendary Entertainment.
I love the enthusiasm of this new generation of fans who have embraced the classic Monster films. I was able to bring my boys to see it Godzilla: Minus One and they loved every second of it.
