The development of Scream VII is ongoing with the creator of the franchise Kevin Williamson direction and Neve Campbell is set to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott. Courtney Cox AND Patrick Dempsey it is said that they will also join the sequel
The next film will take the franchise in a completely new direction as it will no longer follow the story of Samantha and Tara Carpenter. And a new report has emerged that this new direction will involve Sidney Prescott’s family.
According to an insider scoop Daniele Richtmann: “They’re trying to pitch [Sidney Prescott’s] two kids. It seems like the film will focus on Sid’s family as all 4 (her, her husband and 2 children) are listed as protagonists.”
With that being the case, it looks like Ghostface will be targeting Sidney’s family, meaning things will get very dark and crazy for her as she will be forced to fight and protect them.
This could also create an entirely new storyline following Sidney’s children as the franchise continues. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s just wait to see what happens Scream VII First.
