Miramax, which is now under the umbrella of Paramount Pictures, has announced that it will produce a new Scary Movie film.
The film was made under the direction of the studio, Jonathan Glickmannand will go into production this year for theatrical release in 2025.
The original Scar Movie films were released under Dimension Films, a former Miramax genre label, and the franchise ran for five films, grossing over $896 million.
The original film was directed by Keenan Ivory Wayansand co-written by his brothers Shawn Wayans AND Marlon Wayans as well as Friend Johnson.
I only watched the first two films in the series before I got bored. I can’t say I’m thrilled that we’ll be getting more of these horror parody movies, but maybe some of you will be excited!
Scary Movie 5 was released in 2013 and since then there have been a lot of horror films released that the new film can parody.
