Universal Pictures has released a new trailer and behind-the-scenes featurette for its dancing vampire horror film Abigail.
The film comes from Radio silence management team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin AND Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, He shouted), and the film is described as “a brash, bloodthirsty new take on the vampire movie.”
The trailer is full of wild and wicked new footage for you to enjoy! I’m really excited for this movie! It will be a blast to watch it on the big screen!
The featurette offers some additional insights into the film’s story and characters and promises that it will be a “bloodbath.” So, get ready for some damn madness.
The story centers on a 12-year-old ballerina who is also a vampire and is thirsty for blood. The featurette features one of the film’s stars, Kathryn Newtonas he visits the set and shows three of the rooms they filmed in.
In the film, “After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old dancer, daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to raise a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated villa, the kidnappers begin to diminish, one by one, and they discover, to their growing horror, that they are locked inside without a normal child.
The film also comes with a great cast that includes Melissa Barrara (He shouted franchising, In the heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), William Catlett (Black lightning, true story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) AND Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood). Alisha Weir (Matilda the Musical by Roald Dahl, Darklands) takes on the role of Abigail.
The film will be released in theaters on April 19, 2024.
