Winne-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey he’s confirmed to have a third movie, and I’m not surprised. Of course, this ridiculous franchise will get another movie and I’m sure there will be more sequels to follow.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 was announced by the creators Rhys Frake-Waterfield AND Scott Chambers from the horror production company Jagged Edge Productions. They also say that the third film will have an even bigger budget than the first two films. Do these films really need a bigger budget? It just seems like such a waste of money.
The upcoming film will also introduce new characters from the original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, including Rabbit, Heffalumps and Woozles. And yes, you can expect them to be given sadistic, twisted and bloodthirsty traits.
The news comes as Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is currently playing in US theaters as part of its 3-day run thanks to Fathom Events.
Like it or not, the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey the franchise has become a box office success and the franchise is here to stay. The films reimagine AA Milne’s beloved bear as a vicious, club-wielding serial killer. The first film was made for less than $50,000 and ultimately grossed $5.2 million globally, making it one of the best budget-to-box ratios in movie history.
In addition to Winnie-The-Pooh, the creative team is also developing Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, a crossover film bringing together characters from Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and various other upcoming films. This twisted childhood universe will include murderous versions of classic characters such as Bambi, Tinkerbell, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Tigger, Piglet, the Mad Hatter and Sleeping Beauty.
