A new report has surfaced that claims to reveal the main setting of Deadpool and Wolverinewhere most of the story actually takes place.
The film’s trailer teased a few different locations in the film, but according to Movie Insider @CanWeGetToast, the majority of the film takes place in The Void. The report specifically states that 70-75% of the film takes place there.
The Void is a main setting of Loki series, is a place in the MCU that is located at the end of time and is used to send everything that was eliminated by the Time Variance Authority. If this is true, there is no doubt Ryan ReynoldsDeadpool will have a lot of fun running around and causing chaos in The Void.
It’s an interesting setting that will open the door to all sorts of cameos from the deleted variants. It will be interesting to see how this story ends up connecting to the larger Multiverse saga.
An earlier draft of the script is also said to have called for the film to be set during the events of the original X-Men trilogy. Who knows, though, maybe some of that beginning made it into the final version of the film.
In the film, “After facing some professional setbacks while going through a midlife crisis. Wade Wilson decides to officially retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman. But when his friends, his family, and the entire world are at stake, Deadpool decides to bring his katanas back into retirement. He recruits a reluctant and wary Wolverine to not only fight for their survival, but, ultimately, their legacy.
It is also explained: “That damn irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”
It also includes the film’s confirmed cast Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin in the role of Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in a TVA agent, and Leslie Uggam in the role of blind Al. They are united by Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. This had already been confirmed Jennifer Garner she will return as Elektra in the film.
Some of the other rumored castings include Brian Cox as William Striker, Owen Wilson like Mobius, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, Channing Tatum in the role of Gambetto, Taron Edgerton like a different Wolverine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Tara Strong in the role of Miss Minutes, Tom Hiddleston like Loki, Dafne Keen like X-23, Rebecca Romijn in the role of Corvo, Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom, Liev Schreiber like Sabertooth, Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine, Channing Tatum in the role of Gambetto, Wesley Snipes like Blade, and Pedro Pasquale as Reed Richards. Oh, and more recently Henry Cavill like Spoiler.
Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters July 26th!
