David Ayer will direct HEART OF THE BEAST about a retired Navy SEAL and his fighting dog

Director David Ayerwho recently directed the action thriller The Beekeeper, has found his next film project. The film is titled Heart of the Beastand is produced by Paramount Pictures and the director Damien Chazelle (Babylon).

The story follows “a former Navy SEAL and his retired combat dog as they attempt to return to civilization after a catastrophic accident deep in the Alaskan wilderness.”

This should be a big project for Ayer, who has demonstrated his appreciation for the military with some of the films he has directed, such as the World War II film. Fury. His social media accounts are also filled with posts honoring those who served.

This will also be Chazelle’s first film project where he will take on the role of producer in his own right after signing a story deal. Cameron Alexanderhe wrote the screenplay and will also be the executive producer.
