Three-time Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Pfeiffer (The Return of Batman, Dangerous minds, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania) has signed on to star in Amazon’s upcoming holiday comedy, OH. What. Fun. Michael Showalterwhich he previously directed The Big Sick, Tammy Faye’s eyesAND Abandonmentas well as the success of this year’s SXSW, The idea of youhe’s directing the holiday movie, which he’s co-writing with Chandler Bakerbased on a story by the latter originally published by Amazon Original Stories.
In the film, “Pfeiffer plays Claire Clauster, who plans a special Christmas outing when her family forgets her in the confusion. By the time they realize their mistake, she has disappeared. Their Christmas is in danger, but Claire has other plans.”
This looks like a fun new Christmas movie that’s a step up from the garbage churned out every year by the Hallmark channel. Stay tuned for more information as it releases.
