The final season of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY is described as an INDIANA JONES-style adventure

Star Trek: Discovery is coming to an end with the upcoming fifth season of the series and it looks like it will take fans and audiences on a grand and exciting adventure that will lead to a grand finale.

During an interview with SFX magazine, showrunner Michele Paradiso talks about what to expect from this final chapter of the story, and speaking about the last episode, he said, “It’s definitely a longer episode, for sure.”

He went on to tease what we can expect from the final season and the exciting adventure that’s in store. In fact, he describes it as an Indiana Jones-style adventure!

“I will say that season five has been one of the most fun in terms of this incredible technology at our disposal, the storytelling itself, the adventure in general. I don’t want to say too much about the season, because we don’t want to give away spoilers, but we know that our heroes are leaving on a mission.

“We talked about it internally as if it were some sort of Indiana Jones-style adventure, and just by its very nature it’s a lot of fun.”

I like the sound of it! I just hope they end this series on a strong note.

The final chapter will find “Captain Burnham and the crew of the The USS Discovery uncovers a mystery that will take them on an epic adventure across the galaxy in search of an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others in the hunt too… dangerous enemies who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.”

Season 5 cast includes Sonequa Martin-Green (Captain Michael Burnham), Douglas Jones (Saru), Antonio Rapp (Paolo Stamet), Maria Saggio (Silvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), Davide Ajala (Booker of the Cleveland “Book”), Blue of the Barrio (Adira) e Callum Keith Rennie (Rayner). The fifth season also features recurring guest stars Elijah Toufexis (The ak) e Eva Harlow (Moll).

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzmann, Michele Paradiso, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Franco Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry AND Trevor Roth serve as executive producers. Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise are co-showrunners.

Season five will premiere on April 4, 2024, and will begin with the first two episodes of the 10-episode season. New episodes will be released weekly after the premiere.
