Arnold Schwarzenegger he signed on to star opposite Alan Ritchson (Reacher) in the next Christmas comedy, The man with the bag which is produced by Amazon MGM Studios. Adam Shankmann (Hairspray) will direct the film from a screenplay written by Alan Rice.
The plot goes: “When Santa’s magical bag is stolen, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a former thief, to help him recover it. Together with his daughter Santa Claus and a group of misfit elves, Vance will have to pull off the biggest robbery of his life to save Christmas.
No word yet on who will play who, but our guess is that Schwarzenegger, who also appeared in the 1996 Christmas movie, Jingle all the way, will play Santa Claus. The film is scheduled to shoot later this year.
