The accountant 2 it’s moving forward and Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, JK SimmonsAND Cynthia Addai-Robinson they all signed up to reprise their roles in the film. The director of the original film, Gavin O’Connorhe will also return to direct the film from a screenplay written by Bill Dubuque.
Affleck played a highly trained accountant with autism named Christian Wolff in the first film and leads a double life as a forensic accountant for criminal organizations. When he discovers discrepancies at a legitimate robotics company, he must navigate a dangerous web of deception while staying one step ahead of both the law and his criminal clients.
Bernthal plays Christian’s brother Brax, while Simmons plays Ray King, the director of the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. Addai-Robinson took on the role of Marybeth Medina, who was tasked with uncovering The Accountant’s true identity.
The sequel’s plot “kicks off when Medina’s former boss is killed by unknown assassins, and she is forced to contact Christian to solve the murder. With the help of his estranged but highly lethal brother Brax, Chris applies his brilliant mind and less-than-legal methods to piece together the unsolved puzzle. As they get closer to the truth, the trio attracts the attention of some of the most ruthless killers alive, all intent on putting an end to their quest.
I loved the first movie and am excited for this sequel! These are all really interesting characters and it will be great to see them explored further in the sequel.
