Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for its upcoming animated film The Garfield Moviebased on the adorable lasagna-loving orange cat created by Jim Davis.
As a fan of the Garfield comics and originals; animated specials, I would love nothing more than to get a good Garfield feature film, and while this trailer looks like fun, we’ll have to wait and see how the movie turns out. Regardless of how it turns out, there’s no doubt that kids will have fun!
The film comes from the director Marco Dindal (The Emperor’s new tendencies AND Little chicken) and sees Garfield involved in a high-stakes robbery. The voice cast includes Chris Pratt as Garfield, Samuel L. Jackson like his father Vic, Nicholas Hoult, Cecilia Forte, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Bowen YangAND Ving Rames.
In the film, “Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving house cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with their long-lost father, scruffy street cat Vic, Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced to abandon their perfectly pampered life to join Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
The film will be released in theaters on May 24, 2024.
