In a recent episode of Tested, Savage Adam visits the Propstore where he comes face to face with one of Indiana Jones’ original screen-used leather jackets Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
There are a lot of really cool and interesting details that are revealed in this video about the jacket and the production of the film. One of them includes how, after Harrison Ford hurt his back, he couldn’t film, but Steven Spielberg continued to film scenes with Ford’s stunt double anyway.
Few pieces of cinematic history resonate as much with Adam as Indiana Jones’ costume: the iconic leather jacket and button-down shirt are a hallmark not only of the character but of the pulp adventure genre. One of the production’s jackets resurfaced, giving Adam a chance to see how she was worn and aged for the screen and the surprising weight of the leather.
