Hayden Panettiere (Scream VI) AND Tyler James Williams (Abbott Elementary) will be the protagonists of the next Lionsgate thriller, Amber alert. The hidden film has already been shot and is now in post-production.
In the film, “An ordinary rideshare becomes a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. The story will follow Jaq (Panettiere), who can’t wait to start his first day on the job, and his driver, Shane (Williams), who is just trying to make some extra money alongside him. A child kidnapping alert on their phones will change all that when they discover they are behind a car matching the kidnapper’s description. Unable to let a possible child trafficker escape, they begin a chase that will put their lives at risk.
After taking several years off from acting to care for herself, Panettiere returned to the big screen in Scream VI, and it was great to see her back in action. I’ve always liked her work and it’s great to see that she has another film project on the way. This sounds like a great project for her.
The film is directed by Kerry Bellessa from a script he wrote with Joshua Horam.
