Josh Brolin is in talks to star in New Line Cinema’s next horror thriller Weaponswhere it comes from Barbarian director Zach Cregger. Brolin will replace Pedro Pasqualewho was originally cast in the film but ultimately dropped out after joining Marvel The fantastic Fourwhich caused scheduling conflicts.
Cregger also wrote the screenplay for WeaponsAND Rooney Mara he will also star in the film, which is described as a “multi-related epic horror story focusing on witchcraft and missing children.” The film is also said to be “tonally in the vein of Magnoliathe showcase full of actors from the 1999 director Paul Thomas Anderson.”
Barbarian it was a really crazy horror movie and I’m really curious to see what Cregger has in mind for his next project! Brolin is a great actor and it will be fun to see him star in a crazy horror movie!
