Marvel movie THE FANTASTIC 4 is said to be set in two different timelines

There’s a new rumor circulating online about Marvel Studios The fantastic Four movie. According to the report, the film’s story may take place along two separate timelines.

The rumor originated from Grace Randolph of Beyond The Trailer, a YouTuber who has a 50/50 track record, but other sites are picking up on it and saying they’ve heard similar things. Randolf explains:

“The other thing I heard was that the script has two plots together. The comparison I heard was a bit like Greta Gerwig’s Little Women. I didn’t hear what the two timelines or plots were, one in the past or one in the future.”

It’s something I actually see Marvel doing, but I hope they don’t do it. I would much rather see the full story set in the 1960s. But who knows, maybe the first part of the film is set in the 1960s and tells the story of how the first Marvel family find themselves lost in time and space. Then the second part of the story follows the team as they jump into the future and then have to deal with it. But I see them as two different films. I do not know!

Movie stars Pedro Pasquale (The last of us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible: Showdown) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; AND Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.

Fans have been waiting for Marvel Studios to get the rights to Fantastic Four so they can make a proper movie featuring these characters. Unfortunately, it’s happening at a time when Marvel is in crisis. I just want this movie to tell a great story!

Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedmanwho was called upon to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springer.

Fantastic 4 will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025,
