Marvel Studios is currently going through a “creative reorganization”; Will they be able to find their Mojo again?

Marvel Studios has had some major failures in recent years and with the way things have gone, it’s not hard to imagine Kevin Feige trying to figure out how to get these Marvel projects back on track and get fans excited about seeing these films on the big screen again.

THR reports that Marvel Studios is currently undergoing a “creative reorganization.” They’re looking to shake things up after the box office disappointments they’ve had. While some fans wondered if Marvel would do some sort of soft reboot Deadpool 3 coming up, the plan is actually this retooling of the MCU.

There’s no clear explanation of what this “creative reorganization” might be, but Disney’s CEO Bob Iger said on an earnings call earlier this month that Marvel is planning to reduce the number of films and television series it releases on an annual basis.

Iger said: “Some of our studios have lost focus a little bit. So the first step we took was to reduce the volume. We have reduced production, particularly at Marvel [to ensure] the films you’re making can be even better.”

The only Marvel movie coming out in 2024 is Deadpool and Wolverine, and that movie will be a huge success. This is such a popular character and according to a previous report, Feige loved what he saw of the film and is looking to incorporate the character into other Marvel films.

Fantastic Four has also gotten a lot of interest recently, but I think a lot of fans would have been a lot more excited if the movie had been announced when superhero fatigue wasn’t in full swing.

Additionally, there are only two Disney+ series currently scheduled to release this year, Echo has already been released and the next one is Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.

There are currently four Marvel movies coming out in 2025, and those include Captain America: Brave New World, Fantastic Four, LightningAND Lama. But that could change and some of these films could be pushed back to 2026.

I would love nothing more than for Marvel Studios to regain their mojo! It will be interesting to see how they attempt to do this and whether it will actually work and get fans excited about these films again.
