Star Wars star Margaret Ridley it’s going to be fully booked Die Hard in a new action thriller titled Cleaner, where it comes from Casino Royale director Martin Campbell. Ridley takes on the role of an everyday worker who transforms into a hero. We get our first look at the actress in the film as she appears to have taken a beating with a bloody and bruised face and wearing a Strokes t-shirt.
Ridley plays a character named Joey Locke, a former soldier who finds himself cleaning the windows of London’s iconic Shard building. The film is described as a “timely action thriller, set in modern-day London”.
The story “will see radical activists take control of an energy company’s annual gala at the Shard – Western Europe’s tallest skyscraper – seizing 300 hostages to expose the hosts’ corruption. Their just cause is being undermined by a zealous extremist in their ranks, ready to kill everyone in the building to send his anarchist message to the world.”
Joey Locke is suspended 90 stories above the building and finds herself in the position to “rescue those trapped inside and take down the killers, while also finding a way to bring the corrupt energy tycoons to justice.”
Cliver Owen he also stars in the film. Ridley is currently set to return to the Star Wars franchise in the upcoming film Star Wars: New Jedi Order.
