A behind-the-scenes video from the set of Disney’s latest live-action/CGI film adaptation has been released. Lilo and Stitch. The video lets fans discover the look and feel of the film, and we get a peek at Lilo, Stitch, the fun toy car they’ll ride in, and the beautiful Hawaiian setting in which the film is set.
Original Lilo and Stitch director and voice actor of Stitch Chris Sanders he was brought back to star as Stitch in the film, and he joins Maia Kealohawho plays Lilo; Billy Magnussen as the one-eyed alien Pleakley, Sydney Elizabeth Agudong (NCIS) as Nani, Lilo’s older sister and legal guardian; the original voice of Nani, Tia Carrere, she will play a new character called Mrs. Kekoa; while actress Amy Hill, who played Mrs. Hasagawa in the animated film and series, will play a new character called Tūtū; AND Zach Galifianakis he is confirmed to play Stitch’s scientist creator, Jumba.
In the film, “Lilo is a lonely Hawaiian girl who adopts an ugly little ‘dog,’ whom she names Stitch,” reads the synopsis of the original animated film. “Stitch would be the perfect pet if he wasn’t actually a genetic experiment who escaped from an alien planet and crash-landed on Earth. Through her love, her faith, and her unwavering belief in ohana, the Hawaiian concept of family, Lilo helps unlock Stitch’s heart and gives him the ability to care for someone else.
Camp Dean Fleischer (Marcel the shell with shoes) is directing the remake which will be a major release on Disney+. Chris Kekaniokalani Bright wrote the screenplay for the adaptation.
