Michelle Yeoh (Everything everywhere and everything at once) will star in a new action thriller titled The mother. This looks like yet another exciting project for the actress to take on, and if you’ve been hoping to see her kick some more ass, this is a film you’ll want to see.
Yeoh plays an immigrant mother and businesswoman in the story, who is “trying to create a new life for her family in America. But when her two teenage sons run into trouble with a Boston crime ring, she is forced to rekindle her past to save them.
The film is directed by the actor-director Melanie Laurent from a screenplay written by PG Cuschieri. The film is produced by Basil Iwanyk AND Erica Lee will produce through Thunder Road (John Wick franchising).
Production will begin this summer. Yeoh is currently filming Star Trek: Section 31 for Paramount+.
