Peter Dinklage and Shirley MacLaine shine in hilarious trailer for comedy AMERICAN DREAMER

A great new trailer for the comedy has been released American dreamerhero Peter Dinklage, Shirley MacLaine, Kim Quinn, Danny Pudi, Michelle Mylett, Danny Glover AND Matt Dillon. The film is the directorial debut of Paul Dectorfrom a screenplay by Teodoro Melfi (Hidden figures, Saint Vincent), from a story he wrote with Chris Wehner.

The film’s synopsis reads:

American Dreamer, based on a true story from Chicago Public Radio’s The American Life, is the story of Phil Loder, a twice-divorced, frustrated, and underpaid business professor whose big dream of owning a home is tragically out of reach. When an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes his way, Phil makes a deal with Astrid Finnelli, a lonely, childless, dying widow who offers her vast estate for pennies. But Phil soon discovers that the deal is too good to be true and that the American dream isn’t what it once was.

This looks absolutely delicious! I love the other films written by Theodore Melfi and I think this one will be great too. Check out the trailer below and watch American dreamer in select US theaters and on VOD on March 8.
