Fans have been wondering for years now when we’ll see a live-action Miles Morales Spider-Man movie. The animated films have been a great success among fans and we would love to see the character on the big screen. So, at the recent Oscar luncheon, Spiderman Producer Amy Pascal was asked about the character’s future in live-action and she responded by saying:
“Someday. Not until we make two more movies. Someday. Someday. We’re very happy to do it [the animated Spider-Verse movies].”
Some fans thought this meant we wouldn’t see Miles Morales in a live-action movie until we’d seen two more Tom Holland Marvel’s Spider-Man films, and that seems a long way off, as the next film starring the hero is very early in the pre-production stage and no story details or future release dates have been signed off at the studio.
But the producer of Spider-Verse Christopher Miller he clarified the comments in a social media post, in which he added:
“To clarify, when he said ‘not until we make two more movies,’ he meant it Beyond the Spider-Verse and Tom Holland’s live-action film.”
So those are two movies in the works, and that means we could be hearing about a Miles Morales Spider-Man live-action project in the next year or two. We know Holland won’t be playing Spider-Man forever, so this seems like a great way to pass the torch.
