James Wan and New Line Cinema The evocation the film series will conclude with the upcoming fourth film. The evocation 4It’s been in the works for about a year now, but it’s finally found a director, and that director is it Michele Chaveswhich he also directed The Conjuring: The devil made me do it AND The Nun II.

They were decent films in the horror franchise, but definitely not the level of quality that James Wan brought to the franchise. Chaves is comfortable with the franchise, however, so it makes sense that he’d be the one to direct this latest Conjuring film.

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrickwho co-wrote the third installment with franchise creator James Wan, wrote the film’s screenplay and Wan is producing with Peter Safran.

There are no details to share, but the story will once again focus on supernatural investigators Ed and Lorrain Warren and one of their disturbing investigations. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are expected to reprise their roles.

There are still several Warren investigations to choose from for the next story and it will be interesting to see what this final story entails. I hope it’s cool and scary.
