It seems The boys creator of the series Eric Kripke will develop its fifth season The boys! Although Prime Video has not officially announced the fifth season, it is reported that the production will return to Toronto this spring and summer to film the fifth season. Filming will begin in early April and end at the end of August.
Kripke previously shared that he thought the show could ultimately last five seasons with the amount of source material they had to work with. He later said that he would stop predicting how many seasons The boys projects, saying:
“I’ve since realized that literally no one in history is worse at predicting the number of seasons a show will have, literally. I’ve learned my lesson and stopped predicting how many seasons these shows will last. You’ll find out in hindsight.”
So, who knows how many seasons we’ll get, but as long as they keep churning out crazy, good stories, fans will keep coming back to watch the show. I just hope that when it ends, it ends on a high note.
