Ewan McGregor recently appeared at MegaCon Orlando 2024 and during a panel, the Star Wars the actor shared his hopes of returning Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2. He went so far as to ask fans to write to Disney to help him make it happen. He said:
“It was originally supposed to be a movie, and I often thought, should it have been a movie? But I think it’s great that they did it this way, and it’s a longer story, and hopefully, it’s more satisfying in that.” result. We have more time to weave a story. Let’s hope they make another one. Can you all write to Disney? At the end I’ll give you some email addresses and just say, ‘Dear Disney, let’s see some more Obi-Wan Kenobi, please.'”
I thought Obi-Wan Kenobi it was a disappointment and a messy, poorly written book Star Wars series that should have been much better than it was! Even if she didn’t want a movie, Obi-Wan Kenobi it was originally planned as a trilogy and the plans for the movie actually looked much better than what the series ended up being. You can read all about those original plans here and here. I wish they had made that trilogy.
If Lucasfilm does eventually develop another season, it will have to hire a new creative team. They should have Stuart Beatie do it. He is the person who wrote the screenplay for the original film that was in the planning stage.
