A new season of The Witches of Mayfair by Anne Rice is in the works at AMC, and the network has added three new cast members to season two. Alyssa Jirrels (Fatal Attraction) joined the story as a series regular, playing Moira Mayfair. Moira is the daughter of Rowan Fielding (Alessandra Daddario) cousin and mind reader who blames the family and Lasher (Jack Houston) for the death of her sister Tessa (Madison Wolfe). As a recurring guest star, Ted Levine (The silence of the lambs) will play the role of Julien Mayfair, Cortland’s character (Harry Hamlin) father, a skilled manipulator and an evil presence that haunts the family. Thora Birch (American beauty, Walking Dead) guest stars as Gifford Mayfair, a self-deprecating tarot reader and aspiring bohemian who lately spends a lot of time at her lake house.
Season 2 of Witches of Mayfair is currently in production in New Orleans and will debut later in 2024.
In the Anne Rice universe there is also a series in development which, if given the green light, will be “set in the world of the Talamasca, a secret organization featured in numerous iconic Rice novels, dedicated to the study of the supernatural world and the safety of mortals.” from its darkest elements. John Lee Hancock serves as writer and executive producer.
Interview with the vampire will debut its second season on May 12. Davide Costabile (breaking Bad, Billions, Clothes) will guest star as Leonard, a seasoned TV personality who has an encounter with Molloy (Eric Bogosian). They will also include recurring guest stars this season Rossana Duran (The white ribbon, Riviera) like Madeleine, and Bally Gill (Sherwood, Slow horses) as the real Rashid.
