Funny trailer for Idris Elba’s KNUCKLES series – “Only a hero hits so hard”

Paramount+ has released the first trailer for its upcoming original event series, Knuckles! The film is set in the “cinematic world of Sonic the Hedgehog” and also features appearances by Sonic and Tails. The series will follow Knuckles as he embarks on an action-packed adventure of self-discovery.

In the story, Knickles agrees to train Wade (Adam Pally) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the warrior Echidna. The series takes place between the films Sonic the Hedgehog 2 AND Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Idris Elba he’s back as Knuckles and is joined by Adam Pally as Wade Whipple. The ensemble cast includes guest stars Stockard Channing (The West Wing), Edi Patterson (The precious stones of the righteous), Scott Mescudi (Don’t look up), Ellie Taylor (Ted Lasso), Giuliano Barratt (Mindhorn), Rory McCann (game of Thrones), Cary Elwes (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – DEAD RECONATION), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Paolo ScheeR (Black Monday), AND Rob Huebel (Pediatric hospital). Ben Schwartz will reprise his role as Sonic and Tika Sumpter is reprising her role as Maddie. Colleen O’Shaughnessey he will also return as a special guest star as Tails.

The series was created for television by John Whittington AND Toby Ascher, and they are also the showrunners. Whittington, who wrote Sonic the Hedgehog 2, is the head writer and wrote the pilot for the series. The director of the films, Jeff Fowler, directed the pilot episode and helped bring the film’s signature cinematic animation style to television. Other directors in the series include Ged Wright, Brandon Trost, Jorma Taccone AND Carol banker.

You can also expect to see a completely new product Knuckles commercial released during CBS Television Network’s Super Bowl LVIII pre-game broadcast. All six episodes of the series will be available to stream on April 26, 2024 on Paramount+. Enjoy the trailer!
