Jon Favreau is currently in the process of a Star Wars film he will direct entitled The Mandalorian and Grogu. This was a surprise announcement that many fans seemed really excited about and it looks like the film will begin filming this summer, which is much earlier than fans were expecting.
This latest update comes from ProductionList, who says the film will begin filming on June 17. Lucasfilm has not officially confirmed this. This film is said to be a reworked version of The Mandalorian Season 4, so it makes sense that the project is ready to start filming soon. If they were filming a new season, development would have happened around the same time.
The Mandalorian and Grogu it will most likely be the first Star Wars film that has been made and released since then Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
We have no story details to share, but the film will pick up later The Mandalorian Season 3. The Mandalorian and Grogu it could also be the start of a trilogy that will also include Dave Filoniis the untitled film that will bring together the entire New Republic saga.
Favreau previously shared a statement with the film’s announcement, saying, “I’ve loved telling stories set in the rich world George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
It will be so nice to watch the story of The Mandalorian keep acting on the big screen!
