Zoe Saldana he was fantastic as Nyota Uhura in the three Star Trek movie she appeared in and wants to return for one last ride on the USS Enterprise. As you know, producer JJ Abrams and Paramount Pictures has been trying for years to get a fourth Star Trek movie off the ground, but for some reason they can’t get their shit together.
During a recent interview with CB, Saldana was asked Star Trek 4and she said:
“I know. I mean, I heard what you heard in the industry. I just heard they’re getting ready to do a new one with a younger guy, deal with it. Like it’s been turned off. I don’t know if it’s if it’s from before or since after, but they’re really still hoping to take all of us veterans and bring us back for one last round. Listen, I know it’s a lot to argue with a lot of people with busy schedules. But, working with JJ Abrams and for JJ Abrams at Bad Robot has always been a wonderful, wonderful experience for me. So if I could do it one last time, I would be very grateful.”
It’s good to hear that hopefully Abrams can actually get it done Star Trek 4 off the ground. THE Star Trek The project Saldana mentions in her comment is the one directed by Andor’s Todd Haynes and written by Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter).
The film is said to be “an origin story that takes place decades before the 2009 Star Trek film that rebooted the franchise.” This film joins the fourth Star Trek film that Abrams is still trying to get off the ground.
