SUPERGIRL: WOMAN OF TOMORROW Comic Book Writer Tom King Reacts to Casting Milly Alcock as Supergirl

Tom Kingthe writer behind the critically acclaimed Supergirl: the woman of tomorrow the comic shared his reaction House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock being cast as Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl James GunnDCU.

Milly Alcock is a very interesting choice for the role of Supergirl and it will be interesting to see what Gunn’s vision for this classic DC character will be. The character is expected to make his big debut in Superman: Legacy, but this has not been confirmed.

There have been many different opinions regarding the casting, but Supergirl comic book writer Tom King completely agrees and is thrilled with the casting. He shared his reaction on Instagram, saying:

“She’s Supergirl and she doesn’t give a #%*# about slings and arrows. Perfect cast. Couldn’t be more excited to see Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, the world [Bilquis Evely] built, brought to life by this incredible actor. Folly. He started out so small…”

It’s been reported that King is part of the team of writers that James Gunn has assembled to help shape the new DCU, but it’s unclear what his role actually is.

Ana Nogueira he’s writing the screenplay Supergirl: the woman of tomorrowbut at the moment there is no director involved.

It was previously explained that the film is “based on Tom Kingit’s a wonderful comic book series that came out just last year… This is a very different kind of Super Girl. in this film “we see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents of the time, he is a newborn baby and a super girl who grew up on a sliver of rock off the coast of Krypton and watched everyone around her die and be killed terribly. her ways for the first 14 years of her life, then coming to earth when she was a little girl and much more hardcore. She’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”

This new vision of DC will kick off with The legacy of Supermanwith whom Gunn is writing and directing David Corenswet AND Rachel Brosnahan hero.
